Provider Vacations and closed Days

The dayhome is closed all government statutory holidays. If a stat holiday falls on the weekend I will take a day off in lieu. The agency will also be closed all stat holidays and days in lieu of stat holidays.

I will take up to 3 weeks of vacation a year. I will try to give as much notice of my vacations as possible; I guarantee at least a month notice to parents. Once notice is given it is up to the parent to find back up care for that time. The agency will try to place your child in another agency home if space is available, however if no space can be found you will be responsible to find your own care. A child care credit of $26.00 a day will be credited to you for days I take off. Subsidized parents will only recieve back the parent portion of this credit, so it will be less than $26.00
